The founders, having over a decade's experience in the traditional Telephone Management Systems (TMS) market, recognised that the difficulties of managing a growing company were inherent in the traditional TMS approach.

After building a business that sold over 3,000 stand-alone telephone management systems across South Africa, the very factor that added to the growth of the company had become the most costly to maintain. The geographical dispersion of these systems became an expensive, labour-intensive operation.

The new international trend towards the central maintenance of software solutions and offering access via web browsers / thin clients offered an excellent way out of the systems management dilemma. With an intimate understanding of the technical challenges as well as the needs of business, Aspivia has an excellent opportunity to exploit an entirely new market.
